Financial leadership should empower—not overwhelm—organizations. Numbers should tell a story, guide decision-making, and create opportunities. It’s our mission to make finance approachable, transparent, and actionable. A clear path into your new future.
Who we are
With over 10 years of progressive experience in finance and leadership, I’ve built my career on helping organizations gain financial clarity and confidence— without the cost of a full-time CFO. My path began in public practice accounting, where I honed my technical foundation as a CPA, CA and developed a strong eye for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. From there, I transitioned into senior finance leadership roles where I could have a deeper impact on strategy, operations, and people.
Most recently, I’ve served as the Chief Financial Officer at SIGN (Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbors), after previously holding the role of Director of Finance position at the City of Melville. At SIGN, I’ve led large-scale budgeting, funding negotiations, strategic planning, and financial oversight for an organization with diverse programs and a significant operating budget. I’ve worked directly with boards, funders, and leadership teams to ensure financial sustainability while supporting the organization’s mission to serve the community.
Prior to my work at SIGN, I spent years building my expertise in financial reporting, audit, and advisory in both the nonprofit and private sectors. These roles gave me a strong appreciation for the challenges organizations face—limited resources, growing demands, and the pressure to make every dollar count.
Through this experience, I saw a recurring gap: many organizations need high-level financial strategy, but cannot justify or afford a full-time CFO. That realization led me to found Oaks & Ledger Virtual CFO Service—a practice dedicated to giving nonprofits, startups, and professionals access to the same level of strategic financial leadership that larger organizations rely on.
Why Oaks & Ledger
Oaks & Ledger was founded as a Virtual CFO practice grounded in three core beliefs:
